THG Recognition & Awards
Awards Presented In Recognition Of
Achievements at THG Corporation
From time to time our customers, vendors, industrial partners and other organizations acknowledge the outstanding professional and personal contributions made by the THG Corporation and its employees. In some cases, the company achieves excellent results in sales quotas, quality measures, and on-time delivery of products and services. Other times, our team members meet specific goals or make a special contribution that benefits customers, vendors, or the community. These pages are dedicated to sharing some stories about these results.
Parker Recognizes THG Corporation
There is no higher challenge than meeting or exceeding the goals established by Parker Hannifin for its distributors than its "Diamond Team Award."In a recent round of evaluations, The Hope Group LLC, a subsidiary of THG Corporation earned the Diamond Team Award from the Fluid Connector Division and from the Hydraulics Division. It was a rare feat to win the award in both categories. It's difficult enough to exceed the challenging goals in one category; winning in two categories was remarkable.
In accepting the awards on behalf of The Hope Group, Tony Cantone, President, said "We accept this recognition from Parker on behalf of the entire outside sales, inside sales, customer service, engineering, and technical support team." Tony described the achievement as based on the company meeting or exceeding sales volume goals overall, and for specific goals among selected target accounts. "Combined with the overall volume goal, these two successful results speak highly of the dedication and talent of our sales, fabrication, and customer service team," he added.
Magazine Cover Story Highlights THG Corp
It's always flattering to be recognized for achievements accomplished over many years based on a personal and corporate commitment to excellence and positive results. But, to have someone take pictures and write extensively about it in a nationally distributed trade publication is very special. In its cover story, Industrial Distribution magazine highlighted the history, innovation and future challenges of THG Corporation and its three subsidiaries, The Hope Group, Hope Air Systems, and Sorensen Systems.
In describing the company it stated that the THG Corporation was using an integrated approach to business by combining distribution, fabrication, and engineering to reach new markets in New England and beyond. The author, Victoria Fraza Kickham, wrote, "As recently as 20 years ago, 40 percent of this fluid power distributor's business was serving New England's machine tool and plastic injection molding industries. Today, THG Corp does less than two percent of its business in those markets."
The article pointed out that today, the company was focused on selling components and systems to OEM's in the semiconductor industry, to designing and building motion and control solutions for customer's in the marine industry, and developing inventory management systems for a medical industry customer. The market in New England, and the world, has changed and the company changed with it. The magazine article is available to read to learn more about THG Corporation.
United Way Honors THG Corporation Employee
Every year at THG Corporation, a group of employees volunteer to spend a day working at a local non-profit agency performing a variety of good deeds, such as painting a school, clearing brush from a playground, or even harvesting a crop of vegetables, all part of a the United Way's annual Day of Caring. And each year, Fritz Zuegg, a long-term THG employee promotes the event, recruits the volunteers and spearheads the actual day's activities. He's what the United Way calls an Employee Campaign Coordinator. He's what we call the Credit Manager.
Our Credit Manager managed to earn special recognition from the United Way when they invited him to attend a special event held at the Worcester Mechanic's Hall where he was formally presented with an Award as the Outstanding Employee Campaign Coordinator during a recent United Way campaign year. The plaque signifying his achievement was presented in front of the crowd and as usual, Fritz managed not to make a speech. But, since he won the award he hasn't changed much. He set about getting the next year's group of volunteers signed up. Thanks for your service, Fritz.
